In order to receive their UI benefits, applicants need to be looking for work, available and ready to accept suitable employment.

In addition, NUMMI employees have been certified to receive Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) through the federal government. This provides an additional level of assistance to those that have lost their jobs as a result of foreign trade. EDD and TAA specialists will be conducting workshops for NUMMI employees, beginning April 1, 2010, to provide information and answer questions.
